Our February was one to remember. We’re picking up momentum and there seems to be no end in sight.
NeuraDAO is a new decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). Our objective is to facilitate a democratized, circular funding ecosystem to accelerate research and development (R&D) in the intersection of neuroscience and technology.

Creating our MVP Brand
MiruDAO was the name we had started with, but we felt that it wasn’t able to tell the story about who we are and what we do. We’ve since rebranded to NeuraDAO, and have been hard at work at revamping our website, and the overall look of our brand.
We hope that by the end of March, our full rebrand will be finished.
Preparing for ETHDenver
Before heading to ETHDenver, we wanted several things to be up and running, to maximize our chances of meeting people and spreading the word at ETHDenver. Thankfully, we were able to finish everything that we wanted to do before we left.
Our Newsletter (You probably already know about this)
If you look a bit closer, you’ll see that some of these things aren’t totally finished. That’s alright, it’s our first iteration and Done > Perfect.
Throughout the month of March, we hope to revamp our website as part of our rebrand as well as revamp a lot of our Docs.
NeuraDAO @ ETHDenver!
Our goal for going to ETHDenver was to meet cool DeSci people and learn as much as we could, and it was a huge success. We were able to meet Shady from OpSci, Erik from DeSci Labs, and Vitalik (don’t think he needs an introduction). Through talking to all these people, we gained so many insights on tokenomics, governance, legal hurdles, how to handle data in NeuraDAO and more.
As you can tell, there was a lot that we learned in just 5 days. Right now, we’re in the process of compiling our learnings and publishing them for the benefit of the DeSci Community.
Quick Insights from ETHDenver
That being said, we don’t wanna leave you hanging. We learned a lot, but some here are some quick insights from our time with Vitalik and the DeSci community:
DAOs don’t market enough. The DAOs who are actually making a difference and are mission-driven are rather quiet compared to the other ones.
DAOs need to focus on improving 4 things: Tokenomics, Governance, Onboarding, and Collaboration. These are the main needle-movers in what will make a DAO successful.
Move away from token-based voting (1 token = 1 vote) for more sophisticated DAOs. The economic incentives here make people treat the tokens more as securities and these tokenomics favour dollars rather than contribution.

Our Next Steps
Although we won’t be going to a conference in March, there will be lots of progress as we integrate what we’ve learned from ETHDenver.
